Friends Help Friends

Yesterday after my “Now” epiphany I had a little accident. I dislocated and broke my 3rd toe. I was attacked by my household ottoman. I’ve broken toes before but I have to say this time was a whole new level of “ouch”. Luckily my best friend and husband was there to get me to emergency…wait for 5 hours…then back home to nurse me with pain meds, ice packs and pillows. I am so lucky to have this man in my life. During this whole event I kept trying to see the “Now” in what I was experiencing, which wasn’t easy. I know it was how lucky and blessed I am to have people in my life that care for me. I saw so many people in the ER in much worse shape than my foot. This Thanksgiving I’m thankful for all my caring friends and family who have always been there for me.

Now back to bed.
